Véronique Richard has served as Dean of the Graduate School of Journalism and Communications (CELSA) of the Sorbonne University since 2004. Before being appointed Dean, she served as the Associate Dean of the School for ten years, while directing the Human Resources degree program and overseeing the international relations of the School.
During her tenure, CELSA has maintained its innovative approach to the education of leaders in the fields of Communications and Journalism. Her personal involvement in the creation of study programs in France, including an MBA, a continuing education Master’s Degree in Journalism in France and a continuing education Master’s Degree in Communications and Marketing Management in the United Arab Emirates. She has also been responsible for establishing joint degrees with institutional partners that allow the School’s students to broaden their study in the field of Communications, including programs with the French Institute for Engineering and Applied Science, l’Ecole des Mines d’Alès, and France’s prestigious School of public administration, l’Ecole Nationale d’Adminstration. Richard has also developed international programs with the University of Bournemouth in the UK and the Universities of Laval, Montréal, Ottawa and Sherbrooke in Canada.
Véronique Richard’s current research investigates the juxtaposition of management, communications and business ethics and she is frequently invited to address the private sector and professional associations on these topics. She is member of the Scientific Board of the Sorbonne University and serves as an adviser to the French Association of Higher Education Research Publishers, AERES.
